What “in any app” means in practice.
Does ControlG work in literally every app?
No software can guarantee that. ControlG works across many apps with standard editable fields. Secure fields and some custom editors block automated selection or replacement.
Is ControlG a keyboard?
No. Mac and Windows use a native desktop shortcut. Android uses the Accessibility service to detect a configured trigger in supported fields, so you can keep your preferred mobile keyboard.
Can I use ControlG without paying?
Yes. Google sign-in includes 1,000 built-in AI rewrites of up to 1,000 characters each. An optional provider key can also be used under that provider's terms.
Does ControlG send text automatically?
No. ControlG rewrites after your desktop shortcut or completed Android trigger. You still review and send the result from the app you are using.
